Soft Countdown

Soft CountDown is a PC based presenter timer system which can also provide timing feedback for crew and presenters via numerous additional visual displays. The system is controlled via any PC-based computer and provides an on-screen display of pre-programmed countup or count-down times.

Colour and font changes are programmable (to provide for those who may suffer from colour blindness), and a ‘flash’ option assists with emphasising the remaining time. Real time can be displayed at any time also and a ‘ticker tape’ messaging option allows for handy communication with presenters and/or crew also. The video output of the computer canbe distributed to strategically placed monitors, which can show the timer transparently over any background or as a solid image.

Soft CountDown appears on screen as two independent windows; a control panel for set up and control andthe main display window. The sizing and position of the window provides for perfect alignment on the monitor display.The Expander unit connects via standard XLR (mic) cables to any of the Interspace Industries CountDown remote display units, including both sizes of digital displays, the Intelligent Lamp (traffic light) and the Bar-Graph display unit.
